I’m supporting on Kickstarter this initiative, which sounds well thought out and possibly very effective. The intent is to show real life examples of how meditation affects people, their behaviors and views in a positive way.

Below is their latest update. If you want to contribute their link is here http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1637321519/on-meditation?ref=live.

    Awake, Youth!

ON MEDITATION is thrilled to announce that we have begun a conversation with The Brooklyn Zen Center and their Awake Youth project that focuses on introducing the tools of mindfulness meditation to young people “in an effort to alleviate the suffering and harm they frequently experience.”

To this end, we are in the process of finding our next subject for a portrait in ON MEDITATION: a teenager who has found meditation to be healing, or even life-saving.

Our mission is clear: to demystify meditation and bring this beneficial practice to populations that might not have access to it. We have been stunned at how far we’ve come in the last month in terms of spreading our message and raising awareness and support– thanks to the help of all of you.

    And we’re almost there.

Please join us in helping spread the word in these last, crucial hours of our kickstarter campaign. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support you’ve given us and we are only 48 hours and less than $3,000 from our goal. Thank you for listening and for being a part of this journey.

Together we will change the world, one breath at a time!
