Why don’t you emrace the rainbow? Why do you think it has to be that complicated? What if you already know? What if your teacher doesn’t know the answer himself? What if he still believes there is a question to be answered?

I have now taken up Samatha practice again, working with TMI. My initial goal was to do what you point out Culadasa recommends, and aim for stage 7 before doing insight practice. At the moment I’m considering bringing back some vipassana though.

I tried the US site and it doesn’t even show up as available as a kindle verion. At the Canadian site the option is available but clicking on it gives: “Kindle titles are available for US customers on Amazon.com.”. (I’m guessing this might be different depending on where you are).

In my practice, I have gone from alternating between samatha and dry insight á la Mahasi (inspired by Daniel Ingram and Kenneth Folk) to only doing dry insight. I received the book a couple of days ago – and it’s fantastic! There’s so much useful information in there. Several times I’ve wished there was a search function in the book 🙂 That’s why I’m trying to get hold of the ebook version.
